Yes, yes. Let's talk about the weather...
Jul. 8th, 2004 04:35 pmSo, as some of you know I'm studying Irish amidst all this other stuff I'm doing. It's pretty keen, especially when I run into changeling-esque words that are everyday vocab in Irish. Like dorcha (darkness) and Fómhair (autumn). Today, I had to write a short paragraph about the weather her in Dublin. I thought I'd share it with you all:
Tá sé scamallach agus fuar i mBaile Átha Cliath inniu, ach bhí sé go hálainn inné agus arú inné. Bhí an aimsir grianmhar agus breá te. Ní beidh feabhas ar an aimsir, cinnte!
So, what am I saying?
It is cloudy and cold in Dublin today, but it was beautiful yesterday and the day before yesterday. The weather was sunny and warm. The weather has certainly not improved!
Wow, is my life ever a roller coaster of unbearable excitement. It's almost like a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta.
