Thank you in advance for writing something especially for me! I've tried to keep things as open as possible while still giving you prompts that might lead to chewy goodness, but if you have an idea for a fic that you've been burning to write, please ignore all my suggestions and write that instead. As long as you avoid my don'ts, I prefer to get a fic that someone enjoyed writing to something where they had to backbend to please some random suggestion of mine.

Optional Details: I'm happy with friendship hijinks and non-serious flirting if you don't ship these two, but I kind of feel like this pairing is about as canon as you can get. However, we didn't get the same kind of resolution that we got with Kim Yoon Hee and Lee Soon Joon. I'd love some of that resolution love. If you can work in some of the series tropes - Gu Yong Ha being fabulous and tricksterish (maybe even secretly a gumiho?!), Moon Jae Shin back in his scruffy Geol-oh attire and getting his vigilante on - that would be fantastic. I'm perfectly fine with you bringing in other characters from the series, so long as these two and their friendship (or friendship-turned-romance) are the focus.
Also, I realize that homosexuality was not accepted because it went against Confucian ideals, but please try to avoid anything that is super angsty or where the crux of the conflict is the social restriction against them being together. After all, a woman scholar also went against Confucian ideals, and the characters in the series gave that the middle finger.

Optional Details: Man do I love this series. It's so charmingly ridiculous, I just want to give all the characters squishes. I would love a story that features the band doing band stuff, having to avoid raving fans with complicated plans and hijinks, or missing a concert for some reason and having to come up with a crazy, last-minute solution.
If you decide to write romance fic, I always felt sad that Kang Shin Wu ended up quietly alone. I love the idea that Go Mi Nam takes his place in the band, and Kang Shin Wu starts having FEELS again and realizes that his previous feels for Go Mi Nyeo were pale in comparison. Gimme their story. Bonus points for including an accidental kiss between Go Mi Nyeo and Kang Shin Wu, and Tae Gyeong's resulting petulant freak-out and extreme attempts to win back Go Mi Nyeo <3 Maybe involving Tae Gyeong deciding that HE has to kiss Shin Wu. Y'know, for parity's sake >.>

Optional Details: Okay, so these are somewhat minor characters from a pretty small fandom, so if I matched on these guys, then maybe I've found the one other person in the world who wanted more of their story.
For my part, I'd love to see what would have happened if they had managed to get through the portal to our time/world. I want to see the struggles they go through, fish-out-of-water style, on their way to world domination and benevolent dictatorship. I want to see Gi Cheol crush it in the political sphere, to see Hwa Soo-In master of a megacorp, to see Chun Eum-Ja as the world's biggest kpop star.
Alternatively, the series was apparently supposed to feature a lot more of the conflict of elemental magics. I'd love to see an outtake of what that might have looked like (it was also supposed to star Lee Joon Gi, so y'know... if you want to imagine him in the lead role, I'm good with that :D )

As for more general notes:
Things That Are my Crack: Relationship development seamlessly woven into plot. I love plot on its own and I love romance on its own, but I feel like they both elevate each other when they progress together. A romance that develops between two (or more) well-rounded individuals who have to come together and overcome their differences to achieve a mutual goal is... pretty much the best ever.
Also, queer everything.
Things That Are Yay: Shippyness! Banter! Plot! (Casefic, etc. If you have the time and energy -- I know it can be a lot of work.) Fic that could fit into canon. Drama, up to and including aaaaaangst. Witty humour, especially if it's used as the jab to set up the dramatic roundhouse that follows. Porn, especially if the characters remain recognizably themselves during the sex (I am a sucker for important character conversations/development and/or banter happening during sex). Verbal power games with consensual physical interactions/sex.
Things That Are A-okay: violence, up to a point (see below). Non-explicit sex. AUs of the "what if this event went differently?" sort. Inclusion of nominated characters I didn't request. Inclusion of canonical characters who haven't been nominated. Original characters as needed for the story. Most povs, tenses, narrative formats, etc.
Things That Are Meh: straight-up character introspection. Nonfiction-style worldbuilding. Second person pov without a really good reason.
Things That Are Nay: radical AUs like coffee shop, genderswaps (unless specifically requested), mpreg, a/b/o, etc. "Five Things"-type stories. Domestic or slice-of-life fics where nothing happens. Requested characters having only a cameo in the story, unless otherwise specified in the prompt. Gross-out humour or silliness. Non-Con and Dub-Con. Humiliation. Characters being flat-out stupid. Character bashing. Torture porn, especially with female victims. Women being sidelined in general.
