Jul. 1st, 2006 01:54 pmI can't go cause I'm teaching, but for the rest of you, how often do you get the chance to see The Wizard of Oz on the big screen?
TUESDAY, JULY 11
GOLDEN AGE OF HOLLYWOOD movie series features
The Wizard of Oz
1:30pm
FREE
This classic Hollywood movie has appeared annually on television since the late 1950s. But if you’ve only seen The Wizard of Oz on TV, you’re in for a real treat when you see it on the big screen! Thanks to digital restoration, MGM’s gorgeous Technicolor fantasy hasn’t looked so beautiful or sounded so lush since it graced movie screens in 1939. We’ve scheduled this musical for summer, so that you can bring your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to see Judy Garland’s amazing adventures on the big screen. For a complete listing of films in this series click here.
Buskirk-Chumley Theater presents the GOLDEN AGE OF HOLLYWOOD series in collaboration with Indiana University Department of Communication and Culture and Bloomington Parks and Recreation and is sponsored by the IU Chancellor, Bloomington Hospitality House, the Indiana Historical Society, and the Senior Expo.
