Quick Thanks
Jun. 7th, 2003 11:38 amI'm in Derry, N. Ireland right now. I'm about to go walk the city walls before visiting the Bloody Sunday and Free Derry memorials. However, first I wanted to send a very special thank you to my mom.
Many of you have seen the picture I've been taking. What you don't know is that the camera I'm using was given to me by my mom. It's an absolutely wonderful digital camera. This is the first time I've really used it, and it's been a good opportunity to play around with its many features. The fact that I'm able to put pictures up at all is due to the fact that it has a disk drive as well as a memory stick. It has a lot of pre-programmed settings, and works well in a variety of lighting situations. Any lighting problems in the pictures I've put up are my fault, not the camera's. I'm especially pleased because I've discovered that it has a really good low available light setting, so I can take pictures in museums and exhibits (they usually won't let people take flash photos in such situations). I just wanted to shout out to my mom how amazingly well the camera is working, and to publically thank her. Without her gift, there would not be all these wonderful photos to look at!
I'm just worried that the green receptors are going to burn out from all these emerald isle pictures ;>
