strange questions

I need to know what a particular toy is called. It's the balloony tube thing that is filled with goo, and when you hold it, it slips through your hand in a vaguely x-rated kind of way. I'd like a link to some kind of web source for verification.

I don't think they really have a particular name...sorta like hair ties, doohickys, thingys

Amber is correct. They're called a variety of different things, but the most common name is Water Snake. Toysmith, probably their largest manufacturer, calls them water snakes on their website, and in this case I'd consider them the authority:

OK. This has officially annoyed me. The rough topological shape you're describing is a torus, and I know more or less what you're talking about, as well. I've asked all of the chat channels I typically hang out on and googled on pretty much every variation of "toroid water toy" I could find. I'm coming up with nothing here. Bah. I fail you. I'm sorry; my google-fu was weak this time.
