“Ah, yes. The Furies. Alecto, Megaera and Tisiphone,” Leo McGarry got that look on his face, the one that indicated that Jed Bartlet’s pedantism was only tolerated because he was the President.
“Did you know the Greeks believed that the Furies enforced crimes of ethics. When the state couldn’t or wouldn’t intervene, or when no law had been created to deal with it, the Furies would administer justice.”
“Sir, I don’t see what it has to do with this situation. I’m talking about Colonel Nick Fury—”
Bartlet smiled “So was I, Leo.”
